Publishing Data - Overview
Rice Rivers Center (RRC) Data Management Policy requires research data collected at RRC or with RRC support to be deposited in a public data repository within 1 year of publication. This requirement is motivated by the FAIR Data Principles for data to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. If your project is funded by a grant, you may be required to publish your data in a specific data repository. If not, there are hundreds of data repositories to choose from for publishing your data.
RRC has developed resources to help you find a destination for publishing your research data:
- The Data Repository Comparison Chart compares a couple of generalist data repositories which cover a broad range of domains.
- The Domain-Specific Repository Page maintains a list of domain-specific repositories that have been used by RRC researchers in the past.
