Data Management Planning - Overview
Rice Rivers Center (RRC) Data Management Policy requires research data collected at RRC or with RRC support to be deposited in a public data repository within 1 year of publication. This requirement is motivated by the FAIR Data Principles for data to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Developing a Data Management Plan (DMP) prior to beginning your research project helps ensure your data is FAIR by outlining data collection methods, metadata, archiving plans, and more.
RRC has developed a DMP Template with additional guidance for developing your DMP. It’s recommended to fill out the template and submit your DMP alongside the RRC Project Registration Form.
